Lock today’s gold rate once.
Every price follows it.
Each morning your team locks the day’s rates per purity, with yesterday’s beside them and the live gold price for reference. From then on every sale, trade-in and buyback prices itself, and every receipt keeps the rate it used.
- Sell, buyback, trade-in, cut
- Per purity
- Live price for reference
- Per outlet or all
- Member rates
One minute at opening, priced right all day.

Yesterday is filled in
Last day’s rates open ready to edit, with the live gold price shown beside them.

Adjust what moved
Sell, buyback, trade-in and cut rates for each purity, new and preloved.

Mayam checks the jump
A rate more than 3% away from yesterday’s is flagged before it is locked.

Lock and open
One action locks the rates and opens the counter. Weight-priced gold sells from this lock.
Your rate board, kept honest.
Staff don’t type a rate on each sale, so nobody sells at last week’s price. The rate lives in one place, and changes to it are logged.
- Rates per purity, for new and preloved pieces
- A re-lock mid-day needs a reason, and the earlier lock is kept
- Every invoice and voucher stores the exact rate it used
- Optional member rates beside the ordinary ones
When the gold price moves.
- The price jumps at noon
- An owner (or a manager you allow) re-locks with a reason. Sales from the morning keep the morning’s rate.
- A customer disputes last month’s price
- Open the invoice. It shows the exact rate locked that day, never recomputed from today’s.
- Two outlets price differently
- Lock per outlet, or once for every branch. One setting decides.
- Members get a better rate
- Switch on member rates and lock a member price beside the ordinary one. Walk-ins pay the ordinary rate.
- Staff forget to lock
- Weight-priced gold waits for the day’s lock, with a banner on the sales page. Fixed-price pieces still sell.
Gold rate questions,
answered.
What gold shop owners ask us about daily rates in Mayam.
No. Your shop decides its rates. Mayam shows the live gold price as a reference beside the rates you lock, and every price in the shop then follows what you locked.
For each purity: the sell rate, the buyback rate, the trade-in rate and the cut rate for offcuts. New and preloved pieces of the same purity can have different rates.
Yes. A re-lock replaces the morning’s for sales from then on, with a reason recorded. Documents already made keep the rate they were priced at.
Weight-priced pieces wait until the day is locked, so nothing sells at a stale price. You can switch that off and sell on the latest lock instead, with each such sale clearly marked.
Yes. Choose one lock for every outlet, or a lock per outlet. The owner can lock for any outlet, a manager for their own.
