Gold Buyback · Mayam POS

Buy back gold at the counter.
Priced right, tracked to the gram.

Weigh the piece, pick the purity and Mayam prices it at today’s locked buyback rate. The seller is paid, the voucher prints, and every piece joins your stock, ready to resell as emas lama or send to scrap.

  • Locked daily rates
  • IC captured
  • Cash or transfer
  • Emas lama or scrap
  • Self-billed e-invoice
At the Counter

Four steps from the scale to the payout.

  1. 1

    Find or add the seller

Name, phone and IC number, with a photo of the IC if you want one. The IC stays masked on screen.

  2. 2

    Weigh each piece

Pick the purity, key in the weight. Mayam prices the line at today’s buyback rate for that purity.

  3. 3

    Pay out

Cash from the drawer or a bank transfer, recorded against the voucher with the account it left from.

  4. 4

    Print and tag

The A5 buyback voucher and a tag for every piece print together, so nothing goes into the tray unlabelled.

The Buyback Screen

One screen your staff can’t get wrong.

The rate comes from the morning’s rate lock, not from memory. Staff weigh, pick the purity and the total builds itself.

  • Buyback rate per purity, locked once a day
  • No workmanship and no discount field on a buyback line
  • Sen rounding capped at RM1, shown on the voucher
  • Numbered per outlet, so each branch keeps its own series
Gold Shop Situations

What happens to the gold after you buy it.

A broken chain from another shop
Bought at your buyback rate like any piece a customer carries in. Damaged or not, the purity and weight decide the price.
Pieces worth reselling
Re-tagged as emas lama with a new barcode and the weight after polishing. The buyback price becomes its cost, so the margin is real.
Pieces going to the refinery
Sent to the outlet’s scrap pool by weight and purity. Record the sale to the refinery when it goes, and the pool balances.
You sort the pile by hand
Switch the queue off and every piece goes straight to the pool. Key the pieces you keep back in later, the way you already work.
Pieces left undecided
Anything waiting too long is flagged on the dashboard, and the weekly report shows grams resold against grams scrapped.
The accountant asks for records
Each buyback raises its self-billed e-invoice to LHDN and its purchase bill in Bukku, without anyone keying it twice.
FAQ

Buyback questions,

What gold shop owners ask us about buying gold back with Mayam.

From the rate lock your staff do each morning: a sell, buyback, trade-in and cut rate per purity. Every buyback that day uses the locked rate, and the buyback screen refuses a line until the day is locked.

Mayam records the seller’s IC number on every buyback, with an optional photo of the card. It is shown in full on the buyback screen and on the printed voucher, and masked everywhere else.

Yes. When a shop buys gold from a member of the public, the shop issues a self-billed e-invoice. Mayam raises it and sends it to LHDN MyInvois for every buyback.

Yes. Pay out by cash or transfer. A transfer records which of the shop’s bank accounts the money left from.

Every piece carries its buyback price as cost. Reports show what was resold as emas lama, what went to scrap, and the margin made on the emas lama sold.

Yes. We move your existing records over when you switch, so past buybacks stay searchable alongside new ones.
